after APE 2013

So it has been quite a while since my last post. I was at APE recently. Here's a picture of my table!

And I opened an Etsy store for my prints! Everything isn't up there yet, but soon you will be able to purchase stickers, buttons, and a selection of even more prints to come.

Fanime Day 1

So the first day of Fanime is now over. Thanks for everyone who stopped by. If you have yet to check it out, I am booth number 268!

a little update

Thought I'd post some stuff I've been doing since I haven't since... a year ago.

Here's some mermaids. There will probably be a lot more of these... as I work on a mermaid game called Mermaid World (by Crowdstar).

And here are some characters I was developing last year. I really liked them but never posted them.

 And then there is this cool Pokemon gallery called "Rare Candy" going on right now which I did a piece for. My random Pokemon was Starmie. It's done in traditional acrylic paint on illustration board, size 7x7in. Although I was a little disappointed to have a Pokemon with no true face, I just decided to make the gem into a giant shimmery eye gazing at an amazing shooting star.

Oh, I also painted this Katamari piece for a little gallery show at work. The prince is just rolling around in San Francisco, NBD.

So that's just a little snippet of what I've been doing since after graduating. My first year of working in the industry has been really great so far. I've really learned a lot and feel like I've grown as an artist.

We're doing a new project in BFA based off a story by John Steinbeck.  Here's my rendition of a family that moved from the city to the country and made their residence in a house that is said to be haunted.

One of our good friend's birthday just passed, and his lovely girlfriend thought it would be great to have a surprise birthday gallery where we would each make a piece of art and hang it up in a cool place!

Here's some stuff I've been working on for school.  It's a contemporary retelling of the Greek Tragedy "Orpheus".  Rough stuff is rough.  Wanted to try for a more delicate line drawing and very "Asian cartoony" look, but not like Anime.
